Reagent Stabilizing Treatment of the Recirculating Water of a Facility for Collecting the Chemical By-Products of the Coking Process

The stabilizing treatment of the recirculating water with Nalco reagents is justified not only for the plants in which the heat transfer equipment is made from carbon steel (where the treatment significantly reduces the corrosion rate), but also for those in which the heat transfer equipment is made from alloyed metals because the treatment makes it possible to preventthe accumulation of deposits and microbiologic overgrowth. The complex automated control system provides the stable water quality at the designed level.
