The experience of operating the drum dryers as long as almost 20 years showed their following advantages over the luidized-bed dryers: Overhaul period is increased up to 18 months. Moisture content at the drum outlet does not exceed 0.1 percent. Uniform and uninterrupted withdrawal of thesalt of ammonia sulfate from the baths of the saturatorsmakes it possible to clean the coke gas from ammonia down to 0.025-0.03 g/m~3. Drying of the ammonia sulfate is completely automated and safe. Improved working conditions for the operators.
