Space Cryogenics

摘要

As we discussed in our last article, the European Space Agency(ESA) has launched an ambitious effort to explore the infrared univrse, in particular the cosmic microwave background. It will launch two spacecraft, Planck and Herschel, on a single Ariane 5 launch vehicle in late 2008. Our last article discussed Planck in some detail. In this article, we will describe the Herschel mission.
