摘要

Durene is the key raw material for the synthesis of pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA), which is used for the production of polyimide resins. These resins are widely used in the production of films, varnishes, enamels, binder substances, dyes and plasticizers and also as catalysts for curing epoxide resins [1, 2]. The polymers produced on the basis of polyimide resins exhibit a unique combination of thermal, physical and chemical properties: they are durable, heat and cold resistant, display high strength and elasticity, and are resistant to nuclear radiation [2]. Polymellitic dianhydride (PMDA) produced by the oxidation of durene in the vapor or liquid phase [5-20] and its derivatives can also be used as high-temperature lubricating oils, greases, corrosion inhibitors, etc. A specific feature of PMDA is that it is capable of forming stable complex compounds with various hydrocarbons [2].
