Industrial Implementation of New Technology of Purification of Coke-Over Gas with Breakdown of Ammonia

The technology of purification of coke-oven gas by means of circulating phosphate method with the destruction of ammonia by thermal breakdown through combustion and the utilization of the heat of flue gases of the furnace-reactor, which has been implemented for the first time in world practice, seems to be very promising; it requires minimal investments and operating expenses. There is room for the improvement of the technology. Industrial investigations will be continued by the staff of the Eastern Institute of Coal Chemistry and the "Koks" plant.
