摘要

One of the important problems in coke production is to predict the quality characteristics of coke. The utilization of multicomponent coal blends, the design of blends from coals of different coal basins and the variation of coking periods within wide ranges complicate the prediction problem. The set of conventional indices of proximate analysis, plastometry and multicomponent analysis is not sufficient at all times for a comparative accurate forecasting of coke quality. It seems that in the present-day situation the role of laboratory coking processes, which simulate the various coking conditions in industrial ovens, must be significantly increased.
