Individual tree, intra- and inter-clonal variations in wood anatomical properties of 4 years old clonal ramets of Eucalyptus tereticornis Sm. have been investigated. The material was collected from Clonal Testing Area, Lalkuan, (Haldwani). Ten best clones as per their growth and forms were selected for the study. Radial variations in all the individual remets were non -significant for all the characters (a=0.05). Clone to clone variations were significant. Intra-clonal variations were non - significant. The values of Runnel ratio, shape factor and fiber-length /-diameter ratio of the selected clones of Lalkuan, (Haldwani) are well with in thepermissible limit for producing the reasonable quality of the pulp. The wood properties of the clones of thepresent study are comparable with the clones of ITC, Bhadracahlam as per the wood properties in question except for fiber-length, Runkel ratio and shape factor which were significantly higher for the later case. Fiber-length of different clones of the present study is comparable with the 8-10 year old seed raised plantation of the same species. It further showed better paper making wood properties of clonal remets than of the seed raised trees even then the higher age class.
