The strength properties in green condition of five 17-20 year-old trees of Pinus patula, an exotic species in India, with girth at breast height between 1.1-1.30 m. The strength values were much less compared to Cedrus deodora. The shrinkage values were comparable C. deodora and showed marked improvement compared to P. patula from Mexico..
