摘要

I am a believer in the practice of system safety engineering.Since my beginning in the discipline in 1977,I have wondered why every project or program doesn't employ the practice to identify and mitigate risk in design,operations and maintenance.System safety is involved in every aspect of a project.It includes formal,repeatable evaluation tools and methodologies,"good sense" solutions to safety issues and unlimited applications.
