摘要

Photochemical and thermal transformations of diallyl-1-benzoylcyclopropanes to the exotic isomeric alkenes have been described. The products formation is exclusively controlled by the nature of substituents on the cyclopropane ring as well as on the aromatic ring in benzoyl group. The stimulus behind this is the thermostability of the intermediate 1,4-biradical produced photochemically which, in turn, control the product formation/distribution.
