Trimethylsilicon- and tributyltin- derivatives of the types (OGO)(2)b(OGOSiMe(3)) and (OGO)(2)b(OGOSnBu(3)) (where G = Me2C(CH2)(2)CMe2 (G(1)) 1 (Si), CHMeCH2CMe2 (G(2)) 2 (Si), Me2CCMe2 (G(3)) 3 (Si), CH2CMe2CH2 (G(4)) 4 (Si), CHMeCHMe (G(5)) 5 (Si), and G = G(1) 6 (Sn), G(2) 7 (Sn), G(3) 8 (Sn), G(4) 9 (Sn), G(5) 10 (Sn) have been prepared by the reactions of Nb(OGO)(2)(OGOH) with Me3SiCl in the presence of Et3N or with n-Bu3SnOPri in benzene. The new Complexes 1-10 have been characterized by elemental analyses, cryoscopic molecular weight measurements, IR and NMR (H-1, C-13, Si-29, Sn-119) spectroscopic studies.
