Tar Removal from Phosphate Solutions at a Quartz Filter

The removal of tar and suspended participates from, phosphate solutions at a quartz filter is con sidered. The filter's optimal operating conditions are determined. Introduction of this filter reduces the downtime in the circulating phosphate system for the removal of tar deposits.
