摘要

The hydrothermal treatment of sapropelite is investigated, to establish the distribution of mineral components in the decomposition products. In hydrothermal pyrolysis, an organic–mineral mixture is obtained. The mineral components may be extracted from this mixture. The results suggest that the carboxylic acids obtained from hydrothermal treatment of sapropelite have valuable extractive properties. The characteristic reactions for the carboxylic acids are substitution reactions, with the formation of salts of various metals.
