The data on the emission of nitrogen oxides (NO_x) during the coking process are contradictory.The present-day technology that makes it possible to provide permissible emissions of NO_x during the carbonization process is the technology tested in the Kaizerstuhl plant (Germany).World power engineering will still be dependent on coal in the nearest future.The most efficient method that makes it possible to significantly reduce NO_x emissions (by 60-70 percent) in power plants is the "Methane-de NO_x" method-the three-stage combustion of coal with feeding of 8 percent of natural gas.
