MECHANIZED MODEL OF 'E-TESTER' FOR QUALITY CONTROL AND GRADING OF PANEL PRODUCTS

摘要

Mechanized model E-Tester was designed and fabricated to find the modulus of Elasticity of large size panel products from wood and other lignoceilulosics. The salient features of this equipment are mechanized feeding of the panel, span adjustment andload application. The selected span is digitally shown on the display panel. Load applied and MOE of the panel are also directly displayed. Tests were carried out on full size panels of plywood, block board, particle board, MDF and BMB of different thicknesses ranging from 6 mm to 32 mm.. Span, preload and load to be applied for determination of MOE/Stiffness of full size panels of different thicknesses were standardized.
