摘要

Most mining houses have been measuring noise levels in the workplace for decades. The challenge, as always, has been the interpretation of that data recorded into real world information that will add value to the interpretation of this data. Typical survey reports often include a diagram of the positions at which noise levels were measured together with a tabulation of the noise levels at those locations (similar to the example shown here). The measured noise level is normally highlighted when it is higher that the occupational exposure level (OEL).
