The status of development of qualification the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA), the Occupational Hygiene field

The redrafting of level 2, 3 and 4 certificates to suit the mining industry and also for use by SAIOH, is now completed and is ready to be submitted for registration. This has been done, but is now being delayed by the MQA, who informed us that there can oniy be one combined qualification(Occupational Hygiene and Safety) The level 5 qualification, in the form of a certificate, is developed and will act as a bridge between the current Intermediate and the Certificate in Mine Environmental Control. This qualification will be submitted during 2008.
