Nd-doped Bi4Ti3O12 (BNT) and Nd/Nb-doped Bi4Ti3O12 (BNTN) ferroelectric ceramics were prepared by using a solid-state reaction method. The Nd/Nb co-doping decreased the low-frequency dielectric dispersion and electrical conductivity. The BNT and BNTN ceramics exhibited saturated ferroelectric P-E hysteresis loops with high remanent polarization. In particular, the ferroelectric properties with Nd/Nb co-doping were improved. The effects of Nd doping and Nd/Nb co-doping on the dielectric, ferroelectric and electrical properties were studied using X-ray diffraction, dielectric constant, conductivity and ferroelectric P-E hysteresis loop measurements.
