摘要

This paper presents the solution of economic load dispatch (ELD) problem of generator units with multiple fuel options, ramp rate limits and prohibited operating zones. Recently evolutionary computation algorithms are devoted to solve non-smooth fuel cost functions of dynamic economic dispatch problems. The proposed EP algorithm is demonstrated to solve ELD problem for IEEE 30 bus system with line flow constraints. The line flows in MVA are computed directly from Newton Rapbson method. In the proposed EP algorithm, mutation is changing non-linearly with respect to the number of generations to avoid premature condition. The test results prove that the EP method is simpler and more efficient for solving ELD problem with multiple cost functions with many constraints.
