摘要

A novel multiband planar inverted-F antenna with meander slits applied on the radiating patch. The proposed structure consist of rectangular meander slits on radiating patch which remove the single band limitation of conventional PIFA and further reduces the size of the antenna. The antenna has been designed on FR4 substrate which is cheap and easily available with ground plane dimension of 50×30×1.5676 mm~3 and radiating meandered patch has dimension 30×15×4.5676mm~3, which is 3 mm above from the substrate so that it can easily be use in portable devices. The antenna is design to operate in 1.6 GHz, 2.5 GHz, 5.8 GHz and 8.4 GHz frequency bands for the application of Bluetooth/4G LTE/Wimax/HiperLAN and ISM band. The maximum antenna gains are 3.632 dB, 9.8493 dB, 1.1193 dB, 4.4942 dB.
