Development of a 250kV DC Generator for Artificial Pollution Studies

摘要

A Portable Direct Current High voltage test facility is designed and fabricated for conducting pollution flashover studies on various types insulators used in high voltage transmission systems. The facility can also be used for the performance studies on HVDC cables and other high voltage dc equipment as per relevant international standards. The equipment has been designed and developed for a specific purpose and has built-in protection against short circuit conditions and could be used for experimentaion at full testing voltage up to 250kVdc.
