摘要

In Nuclear fuel Reprocessing plants, Purge method is used in measurement of process tank liquid level and liquid density. One common problem experienced in this process is the formation of choke in the purge probes, which in turn is connected to the Differential Pressure (DP) transmitter. With choke the back pressure felt at the DP transmitter will be maximum or even equal to the supply pressure. This high pressure may have an effect on the performance of the transmitter. Even though the manufacturer's specification provides information on the general accuracy values for overpressure upto the overpressure limit (2000psi) of the transmitter, there are no details available for our operating pressure. This paper will discuss the ill effects of the transmitter due to the over pressure on an experiment bases.
