Edge Blender for Main Battle Tank (MBT) Training Simulators

CVRDE has developed Arjun MBT training Simulator systems for training the gunner, commander and driver in an integrated troop level environment. To provide hatch open driving condition for the driver there is a need to project five visual channels on the cylindrical screen. The contiguous seamless display is possible only by forming the mosaic of five sceneries. This paper deals with the design and implementation of edge blending technique and shutter control unit for achieving seamless visual display requirements in the driving simulator.
