This work aims to verify whether Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) can be used as a valid stress indicator and to analyze the changes in GSR during hypnotic analgesic condition. Two types of experiments were conducted namely 'Stress-GSR' (SGR) and 'Hypnosis-Stress-GSR' PG) experiments for 10 subjects. The experiments were done under stress and no-stress conditions on subjects of both the gender in the age group of 20 to 30 years old. Galvanic skin response is analyses for the study of stress analysis, refer to change in the skin resistance, change in electrical conductivity as mental emotional body condition changes. The basic of the development is based on ohm's law. Constant potential electrode as sensor, comes in contact, work as conductor and feeble current flows through the skin. The incremental change in conductivity of skin was observed in 'During Stress' stage of SGR experiment. The results of SGR experiment show a clear relation between Stress and GSR and there is a scope for measuring stress objectively using GSR. The results of HPG experiment show that the subjects do not feel stress during hypnotic analgesia, and GSR is a true indicator of stress. However before concluding that GSR is a good indicator of stress, it requires a experimental studies with more subjects.
