Performance Improvement in Crushing Circuits of the Coal Washeries - An Investigation

Crushing circuits in most of the Indian coal washeries are plagued with several common problems affecting their performance and consequently the washery as a whole. An investigation has been conducted to evaluate the performance of the crushing circuits in some selected prime-coking coal washeries and discussed in likes paper. It has been shown that some minor changes in the existing practice and some small modifications in the operating circuits can considerably improve the crushing circuit performances and the clean coal yields of the washeries.
