Acousto-electric Studies of Gall-stones

This paper reports the acousto-electric behaviour of gall-blader (GB) stones. An ultrasonic field at 2 MHz and 5 MHz frequency was applied to samples at right angle. The potential developed across the specimens were measured with the help of electrometer. The stress-generated potential was found to vary from 0.60 mV to 3.91 mV at 2 MHz and from 3.15 mV to 8.21 mV at 5 MHz.
