Enterprise resource planning: an Indian case study

With the concept of globalization in a business, the corporations around the world seek 10 revitalize, reinvent and resize in an effort to position themselves for success in the 21st century. The optimum utilization of resources has established its importance in every business. This paper discusses the ERP (enterprise resource planning) concept and presents the goals it has achieved in one of the Indian industries. The adaption of ERP has resulted in the improvements in almost all the business indices like increase in sales, share value, overall turnover, net profit, return on investment, reduction in labour cost as a percentage of sales, reduction in inventory, etc.
