Mechanised Longwall Mining in India -- a Status Review

摘要

Mechanised Longwall mining was introduced in India about 25 years back with much fanfare but could not fully meet the expectations of the mining industry for various reasons, while China starting at the same time was quite successful and even exported their Longwall packages to India. This paper tries to identify the areas of weakness in planning, equipment selection and suggests remedies for Longwall mechanisation in India.
