摘要

In this paper, rate of thermally induced flow and heat transfer in an inclined tube of open thermosiphon has been experimentally obtained under uniform heat flux conditions. The test section was a copper tube of 0.022 m internal diameter uniformly heated over a length of 2.13 m. Effects of heat flux and tube inclinations on heat transfer coefficient of water along the test section, were studied to evaluate the performance of an open -loop, inclined tube thermosiphon experimentally. The data have been presented graphically and discussed. Correlations for predicting the average heat transfer coefficient and mass flow rate are proposed.
