摘要

Proteases are one of the most important industrial enzymes that today account for nearly 60% of the total worldwide enzymes market.Alkaline proteases are useful in various biotransformations like in detergents and different industrial process.Ideally,these industrial alkaline proteases should have high activity level over a reasonable pH range,and in different chemical environment.Such limitations and protease associating autolysis often deter their wide spread applications.Among various proteases from different sources bacterial protease are significant,as compared to animal or fungal protease mainly for their easier availability and greater robustness.Wide application potential and some physical instability limitations have initiated,a worldwide search for wild type alkaline proteases from selective isolation of wild enzyme resources that are already adapted to some of these limitations.This work was aimed at a search for wild bacterial resources for chemically resistant alkaline protease for different biotransformation applications.
