Study of dissociation constants of some schiff bases

Literature survey shows that extensive studies have been made on Schiff bases and their metal complexes.The Schiff bases are known to have various applications in industrial and biological fields.Thus,in the present work,we have studied the dissociation constants of some Schiff bases in dioxane-water (60 :40 v/v) medium at 30 deg.The synthesis of Schiff bases from sulphonamide was reported earlier.The structure of these Schiff bases is given in Figure 1.The synthesised compounds were recrystallised and purity of compounds was checked by elemental analysis.Further,the characterisation was done by IR,NMR and mass spectral analysis.
