ESTIMATION OF NITROGEN IN AMMONIUM SULPHATE OR NITRATE WITH FORMALDEHYDE

摘要

Nitrogen in the form of ammonium sulphate or nitrate is generally applied to soil for fertility,growth and flowering of plants like paddy,wheat,potatoes,sugarcane and other plants even in flowerbeds.Estimation of nitrogen in these two fertilizers are generally done by Kjeldahl method,which is lengthy and time consuming.Estimation of nitrogen of these two fertilizers may also be done by Formaldehyde method which is as accurate as Kjeldahl and less time consuming.
