PREPARATION, CHARACTERIZATION AND ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITIES OF SOME METAL COMPLEXES CONTAINING SCHIFF BASES OF TRIAZOLE DERIVATIVES

The chemistry of triazole derivatives is of interest due to its useful application in medicine, agriculture and industry. Literature reports the applications of 1,2,4 triazoles as analytical reagents, dyes and photographic chemicals and in the preparation of polymers. Further, 1,2,4-triazole nucleus have been incorporated into a wide variety of therapeutically active antifungal, antimicrobial, antiinflammatory, antihypertensive, anticancer and antiHIV, antileishmanial, antidepresent, antitubercular, natriuretic, anticonvalsant compounds. Some derivatives of 1,2,4-trizole are known to have applications in agriculture as plant growth regulator, insecticidal and acaridal, herbicidal etc. and are also used as microbocides for plant protection and meterial preservation.
