Sustainability Productivity and Soil Quality Through Soil Organic Matter Maintenance

I am extremely thankful to Indian Society of Soil Science for inviting me to deliver the 23rd Dr. S.P. Raychaudhari Memorial Lecture. I thank Dr. Hanchinal, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, UAS, Dharwad and Dharwad Chapter of the ISSS for organizing this lecture. I pray my homage and tribute to Late Dr. S.P. Raychaudhuri whose outstanding contributions in the field of soil science have helped in developing sustainable technologies to increase and sustain food production. Keeping in view Dr. Raychaudhuri's dedication and management of soil resources in India, I have chosen to speak on "Sustainable productivity and soil quality thorough organic matter maintenance".
