摘要

Field experiment was conducted on the experimental farm of the Soil Test Crop Response Correlation Project, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth. The targeted yield approach was advocated by Ramamoorthy et al. (1967) and later on further elaborated by Kanwar (1971). Within a normal range of applied fertilizers and available nutrient status of soil, linear relationship between nutrient uptake and grain yield is an essential feature of targeted yield concept of crop. Research carried out on soil test crop response correlation has generated valuable information regarding nutrient requirement per unit weight of economic produce of harvested crop and the efficiency of soil available and applied nutrient under different soil type and agro climatic situations.Based on the data, adjustment equation for fertilizer use on the basis of soil test have been developed to achieve yield targets of various crops (Singh and Sharma 1976; Dev et al. 1978; Dhillon et al. 1978; Velayutham 1979).
