In field experiment the residual effect of coir-pith-based compost (CPBC) with organics and inorganics was studied over a period of five years. Application of CPBC with pressmud (PM) and 100% recommended dose of fertilizer (RDF) produced significantlyhigher grain (3.75 t ha~(-1)) and straw yield (7.60 t ha~(-1)) of ragi crop and recorded significantly higher available N (257 kg ha~(-1)), P (14.3 kg ha~(-1)) and S (67.0 mg kg~(-1)) in the soil. Whereas, available K (147 kg ha~(-1)) and Ca [20.3 cmol(p~+)kg~(-1)] was found to be high in farmyard manure (FYM) with 100% RDF applied treatment over five years. The Mg availability [10.5 cmol(p~+)kg~(-1)] was high in CPBC with green manure and 100% RDF applied treatment. The Fe and Cu were high in CPBC with copper ore tailings (COT) and 100% RDF-treated plot, whereas CPBC with PM and 100% RDF applied treatment recorded high Zn availability.
