Aminolysis of cyclic thioxocarbonate of (R,R)-di-tert-butyl tartrate: efficient access to thio- and thiolcarbamates

Aminolysis of cyclic thioxocarbonates derived from (R,R)-dialkyl tartrates with secondary amines is described to afford efficiently thio- and thiolcarbamates in a fast and high yielding reaction. Their stereochemistry and mechanism of formation are discussed. [References: 22]
