Pompholyx with bile-coloured vesicles in a patient with jaundice: are sweat ducts involved in the development of pompholyx?

Pompholyx is a pruritic acute or chronic vesicular recurrent eruption of the hands and feet. Its aetiology is unknown, although there is thought to be a relationship with contact sensitivity and atopic diathesis. Here we describe a case of pompholyx presenting as bile-like, green-coloured vesicles in a patient with jaundice.
