摘要

Treatment of 3 equivalents of CuBr with LiMes* (Mes* = C6H2Bu3t-2,4,6) in Et2O at ca. -78 degrees C afforded, upon treatment with SMe2, the organocopper-copper halide complex [CuMes*{Cu2Br2(SMe2)(3)}] 1 which has the previously unobserved CuR:CuX ratio of 1:2; it is a very rare example of a structurally characterized CuR:CuX complex without chelating R groups.
