摘要

In the present study, 222 genotypes obtained from 37 countries of the world were evaluated through SDS-PAGE analysis to calculate genetic diversity and estimate genetic similarity of Pakistani pea germplasm with world collection. Genetic distances ranged from 0 to 71 % were observed for the germplasm acquired from various countries, which showed broad base of genetic diversity. Cluster analysis and Jaccard's similarity index, identified three centers based on genetic diversity and proteomic homology; most diverse (Sweden, Netherlands, China, France, USA, Turkey, Mexico, ICARDA, UK, Pakistan, India, Ethiopia and Australia), moderate diverse (Peru, New Zealand, Germany, Syria, Czech, Paraguay and Iran) and least diverse (Jordon, Algeria, Morocco, Ecuador, Canada, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Guinea, Yugoslavia Nepal, Denmark, Norway, Poland, Lebanon, Iraq, Greece and Afghanistan). The centers will help in future genebank management and ultimately will enhance the utilization of available genetic resources for crop improvement.
