The article presents results of research on the influence of surface fatigue properties of steel S355JR2 in the area of ultra-high-cycle number (N = 6X10(6) divided by 10(10) cycles). The test samples were coated with electrolytic coatings and their effect on the fatigue properties of the material under ultra-high-cycle was determined. Samples went also through grit blasting, and then it was determined whether the intended parameters of the processing caused the change of resistance of the surface layer on the process of fatigue.
