The names of 55 taxa of New Caledonia Rapanea are transferred to Myrsine. Thirty-eight new combinations are made including: M. albiflorens (M. Schmid) Ricketson & Pipoly; M. arborea (M. Schmid) Ricketson & Pipoly; M. asymmetrica (Mez) Ricketson & Pipoly; M. belepensis (M. Schmid) Ricketson & Pipoly; M. boulindaensis (M. Schmid) Ricketson & Pipoly; M. citrifolia (Mez) Ricketson & Pipoly; M. diminuta (Mez) Ricketson & Pipoly; M. discocarpa (NI. Schmid) Ricketson & Pipoly; M. dumbeaensis (NI.
