This study discusses the application of analog simulators to multipass zone-refining processes. The structure, operation, and mathematical representation of none-refining simulators are discussed. The results obtained from the proposed zone-refining simulators are in excellent agreement with analytical solutions. Furthermore, the simulators can also be used to simulate zone-refining with different initial distrbutions of solute, variable distribution coefficient, and variable zone length along the ingot.
