A 7-year-old sexually intact male Akita was examined because of intermittent bloody preputial di=-cnarge of 1 day's duration Physical examination revealed a large, firm, round mass in the caudal portion ol the abdomen The prostate gland was not palpable via digital examination of the rectum. A urinary catheiher was passed easily into the bladder, and the urine was normal grossly. Abdominal radiography (Fig 1) and positive-contrast cystography (Fig 2) were performed.
