摘要

Special features of the measurement of specific electrical resistance of a cBN-based composite material using a probe of a scanning electron microscope have been considered. Variation of the integral specific resistance of a two-layer cutting blank during the transition from the WC-6Co cemented carbide substrate to the composite layer containing cBN, TiN and AlN phases and in local regions of the composite has been studied. Uniform distribution of the specific electrical resistance over the composite surface is indicative of the material homogeneity and can be used to examine the quality of the cutting layer structure.
