摘要

The authors have substantiated the advisability of reinforcing copper-based bonds for stone-working tools by alloying them with chromium and titanium carbides prepared by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis together with binding metals in particular nickel. The influence of the content of tin and carbides on the main physico-mechanical characteristics of the Cu-Sn-Ni-carbides bond system has been studied. Based on the results of the optimization of the composition of this system, the authors have chosen a bond for the tools to be used in cutting hard rocks.
