摘要

We analyze informativeness of measures of superabrasive powder parameters as obtained by finding an arithmetic average. To improve informativeness of the main measures of powder parameters it is proposed to use supplementary measures of these parameters. A new characteristic is put forward, referred to as the stability index of the main measure of a powder parameter. The advantage of the new parameter over the others which can be used as supplementary measures is scientifically substantiated and confirmed by practical examples. The paper provides recommendations of how to practically employ the "supplementary measures" methodology for the purpose of comparing the quality of superabrasive powders that are close to each other in main parameters.
