摘要

Health care shortages in the United States and orher developed countries profoundly impact the health care workforce in many orher nations around the world. Physicians are recruited in large numbers by developed countries, draining physician resources from developing nations.1 International medical graduates (IMGs) typically immigrate to developed countries to complete their residencies and many stay on in clinical practice.2 A recent review published by our group detailed the difficulties associated with the migration of IMGs to the United States. From the IMG's perspective, this process is an uphill battle, both expensive and time-consuming.
