ACR Research Moves the Practice of Radiology Forward

摘要

Research is fundamental to medical progress. Basic research helps uncover new avenues of diagnosis and treatment which then must be translated into clinical practice through research involving human subjects in order for patients to benefit from the new methods. A critical step in the translation of new methods to clinical practice is the undertaking of multi-center clinical trials to establish their efficacy and to develop the evidence base necessary to formulate new patterns of care.
