Improving the quality of survey research

Lately, survey research, or more specifically the quality of survey research, has become a topic of great interest. Draugalis et al.' published a seminal article on the topic, describing both the less-than-desirable current state of research and proposed methods and tools, to improve the quality of survey research. Although many of their findings and suggestions are intended for use in educational research and publication in the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, the majority of the shortcomings cited, and their ideas, suggestions, and proposals for improvement, are almost universally applicable.
